Caribbean heritage · a Hampshire kitchen

The warmth of a Caribbean kitchen, at your table.

Every great recipe starts with a story. Mine begins in the heart of the Caribbean — with the scent of spices toasting in a warm pot, and the rhythm of generations of tradition. Food was never just something to eat; it was a language of love, heritage, and togetherness.

Our story

It began in my family's kitchen.

I grew up surrounded by the smells of slow-simmered stews, the sizzle of plantains in hot oil, and the laughter of family gathered around the table. As a child I'd watch my mother, my grandmother, my aunts and uncles work magic in the kitchen — seasoning without ever measuring, adding just the right amount of spice by feel, and telling stories of the islands while the pot got stirred.

When I moved to the UK, what I missed most wasn't the ingredients — it was the experience: the way a kitchen fills with warmth, spice and laughter when you're cooking for the people you love. So I began cooking for friends, and soon everyone fell in love with the colours, the spices, and the stories behind each dish. That's when Heritage & Home Kitchen was born.
